NMRIH2 launched on console alongside 1.0 on August 11, 2026. Here's what console players need to know — PS5, Xbox Series X|S, subscriptions, trophies and cross-progression.
Is NMRIH2 on Console?
Yes. No More Room in Hell 2 is on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, released the same day as the 1.0 PC launch (August 11, 2026). Console versions are published by Green Man Gaming with full feature parity — the same survival systems, content updates and achievements as PC.
- Price: $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 (Standard); Deluxe $44.99 bundles the base game with all four cosmetic packs.
- Distribution: digital via the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store. As of 2026-09-02 there is no confirmed physical disc edition.
- Xbox Play Anywhere: enabled — see Cross-Progression below.
PS5 Specifics
- PS Plus is required for online play. The PlayStation Store lists "PS Plus required for online play" and "up to 8 online players with PS Plus."
- PS Portal cloud streaming is supported only with a Premium subscription.
- Subtitles / languages: the PS5 build ships subtitles in EN, ES, PT-BR, FR, DE, RU, IT, ZH and more.
- Trophies: 35 PlayStation trophies including a platinum (see below).
- Performance is tuned for PS5 / PS5 Pro; the console build is rated feature-complete versus PC.
Xbox Series X|S Specifics
- Online multiplayer requires Game Pass Core or Ultimate — the game is not in the Game Pass catalog, but console online co-op still needs the subscription.
- Xbox Play Anywhere is enabled: the Microsoft Store listing keeps progress with your Xbox account across Xbox consoles and Windows 10/11 PCs (see Cross-Progression).
- Smart Delivery / 4K: optimized for Xbox Series X|S with 4K Ultra HD and performance boosts.
Trophies & Achievements on Console
NMRIH2 has 35 trophies on PS5 (including a platinum) and 35 achievements on Xbox (1,000 Gamerscore), mirroring the 35 Steam achievements. Highlights:
- Map survival — clear each of the six Objective maps and three Survival maps on Normal or higher (e.g. Guiding Light = survive Lighthouse).
- Waking Nightmare — survive ten matches on Nightmare difficulty (one of the rarest, ~0.5% unlock).
- We Got This, Man! — the completion trophy/achievement for earning all 35.
See the full list on our Achievements page.
Console Crossplay & Cross-Progression
- Crossplay: yes. PS5, Xbox and PC (Steam + Epic) share one matchmaking pool — squad up with friends on any platform.
- Cross-progression: no between Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. Your Responder, unlocks and purchases stay on the platform you earned them.
- One exception: within Microsoft's ecosystem, Xbox Play Anywhere keeps progress across Xbox consoles and Windows 10/11 PCs tied to your Xbox account. It does not transfer to or from Steam or PlayStation.
Performance & Feature Parity
Console versions are built for parity: same maps, modes, weapons, infection and permadeath as PC, with the same post-launch updates (1.0.4.0 hotfix, September update) landing across platforms. The main platform difference is the online subscription requirement (PS Plus on PS5, Game Pass Core/Ultimate on Xbox).
